Memory Lane Mondays

Los Vegas, Nevada   February 2003

Paul was asked to speak in Flagstaff AZ to some youth.  We had never been in this part of the woods before so we had they fly us into Vegas and we drove to Flagstaff Arizona.   We only had on extra day and night in Vegas but it was amazing.

The architecture is amazing, but the funny thing is, it's not what they show on TV.

There were two things we wanted to do in Vegas.  First... Eat at the MGM Grand Buffet.  Which we did and it was yummy and cheap like everyone says.

And two... ride the Space Needle on top of the Hotel.  AWESOME  No words to describe it.  It's like your floating in the air and all you see is the horizon.  And just in case you wondered.  We didn't even gamble a penny.  We were not temped in any way.  It was strange.

While driving to Flagstaff we stopped at the Hoover dam.  Which is amazing history.

And of course we had to stop at the Grand Canyon.  This is what we seen when we got there. Talk about disappointment.   We didn't come all this way for nothing!!

It wasn't like we were staying in the area.  You have to drive hours to get here and we had only a few days.

Needless to say, it did start to clear and the site is euphoric.  Like a painted picture.  It looked like you could reach out an touch it.

We've been so blessed to be able to see  and do so many different things.  Thank you Lord for the Awesome opportunities.

Sounds like fun. Las Vegas has so many other things besides gambling, it is easy not to be tempted.
Loves the Grand Canyon. The one time I went, I was able to see the sunset at the canyon, words can not describe. The USA has so awe inspiring places, it is so easy to see God in them.
Glad you had a safe trip.

The answer to your question about how I found your blog, I read comments on other blogs and sometimes click on the other blogs. I clicked on your blog, and started to read it for a few weeks and got hooked.
