Snack for the Night

Pau thanked (sarcastically) me for the yummy desert I made for the family tonight! lol  I worked real hard, a whole 45 seconds in the microwave!  I took a fraction longer because I had to put the vanilla ice cream and hot fudge on top!

I got these today for a quarter at Meijer.  They are 10 for $10 and I had a $.75 coupon!  Trust me they are not worth the whole buck (sale price) nor the full price of $2.25!!  They are worth the quarter thou.

Summer is in full swing!! Autumn's last day of school is tomorrow, only because we are taking her out a day early to head to Hillsdale to Camp Michindo (Michigan Illinois Ohio).  What a treat, the girls are so excited.  It looks like this year we are speaking at 6 different camps.   Two less than last year, looks like we are slowing down! ha!  Camps are our passion, we love to speak at camps.   We are looking forward to a many children's lives being changed in coming to know Jesus.

Clowning Around

Autumn and Paul and taking a clown class together.  Paul and I have not clowned in 10 years but Autumn is showing some interest so they decided to take this class together.

This was the week where they worked on there hobo face.

Each week they work on a different type of clown face. (white face, auguste, hobo)

Autumn is learning how to use a stead hand.  It's really hard but in time I'm sure she'll get.

They had their first clown gig at a local park for an easter egg hunt.  They made balloon animals and did some face painting.  Lillie of course had to clown too!  I  gave her my old clown nose and she surprised me by wearing it all day.  I couldn't believe it.  This summer we will work on her costume. We are one strange family! lol  Clown graduation is tomorrow so I'll have more photos tomorrow.

Here is my great spending spree for the day...$1.31 at Kroger.

Did I mention we have kitties! We have four girls and one boy, they were born on Good friday.  They are so sweet but they are all finding a new home.... any takers?

A little bit of everything...

At Family Family this past Sunday we had a Family Skate Night!  It was a huge success.  We go the whole rink to ourselves.  One of our philosophies is... win one family from each even we put on.  We have  had a family who commented on our Faith Family fan page that said they'll see us on Sunday.  That was our first time meeting them so I hope we see them again on Sunday.  We had 118 people show up to this event.  It blew our socks off!!  Yeah God!

Mr. Bacon is adjusting very well as you can see.  We all love him.  Paul and I have been working out at the YMCA on Tuesdays and Thursday mornings when we drop of Lillie at school.  We've been taking Mr. Bacon with us and walking him after we workout at the Y.

I don't know if I've shared this with you but we get a YMCA membership for free because we've traded them a few inflatables for some of their events.  It works out great because we both have no out of pocket expense!  Back to the good old days of bardering and trading.

This is last weeks shopping trip to Kroger.  I Saved a 89% off my bill spending a whole $6.42.  This excites me so much.  I know you all think I'm crazy.  I just can help it!

This is todays trip spending a whole $8.00.  Again can I say how much I appreciate my friend JJ showing me how to do this.     What a blessing to be able to save money for my family.

Which is the better deal?

I went shopping the other day and spend a bunch of money on grocery's!!  $17.00  You know me better than that!!

Paul went and got a hair cut after we went coupon shopping and he spent $17.00.  As he came out of Walmart he explained that their price had gonna up and he though that I got the better deal of the day!  I'd have to agree.  If your gonna get a hair cut at Walmart for $17.00 you might as well go to a real salon, then at least you'll  know you'll get an even hair cut!  I swear 9 times out of 10 it's always uneven :D

a few good deals

$3.61... Not to bad for 26 items on a quick run through Kroger.

I've set up a date for our church plant Faith Family to have their first class on couponing.  Everyone should learn.  However if the grocery stores in your area don't double $1.00 coupons then the deals are not as good.  Sometimes it's cheaper to buy off brand.    In my town it always cheaper to buy name brand.  It's funny 2 years ago before I started this coupon thing, I never filled a grocery cart and rarely bought name brand items except for cheese, mayonnaise, ketchup and a few others.  There are some things that just don't taste the same.

off subject...

My first ladies night with Faith Family I had 18 ladies show up.  I was so geeked!  It was a great time of getting to know each other.  It's so hard being in the YMCA for only a few hours on Sunday.  It makes building relationships hard.   Just a small challenge of being a mobile church.

A Weekend in Review

Yup, I did it again ladies and gentleman! $12.00 whoo whoo!

What a week! Friday we had equipment out into the schools in Swartz Creek for their Halloween party. At the same time we were over in Durand at Bertha Neil Elementary and we did two school assemblies.

Saturday we headed out with equipment in the morning and then an evening program for a harvest party over in Attica. I was disappointed in the harvest party.... no candy for the kiddos! And they even played carnival games and didn't win prizes! They had a great turn out but I was surprised. Good thing the girls went to a few different trunk or treats :D Needless to say this year I only received two peanut butter cups.

This Sunday we had 43 people at Faith Family! We were so excited! Following the service we had a bake sale at Krogers to raise money for Chairs. We rent them at this time. Not a bad price at .25 a chair per sunday, but we need our own.

We head out in the morning for Lenoir City in Tennessee the last family crusade of the year. It's 3 days long and Lacey is staying with the girls. It will be a nice, quick weekend away.

I love you Kroger!

All this for $13.00, I love to go grocery shopping.

*Were getting ready for our summer programs.  I've been working on music.  I got some great new stuff this year.

*I had the opportunity to take some photos of my friends new baby this week!  Nothing professional but better than your average Joe!!  It's good practice.

*I can't put down the last Amish book in the series Sisters of the Quilt by Cindy Woodsmall. My poor husband will be glad when I'm finished so he can have some attention.

*Autumns last day of school is Friday!  Were all very excited that bed time will no long be at 8:00.

*I'm wanting to purchase the book The Shack.  Has anyone read this book Yet?

Oh...  tonight one of our goat was in labor,  it's sad that the baby was not alive.  He was a little buck.  It was a horrible experience to witness trying to get the baby out.  I'll spare you the details.  Were hoping the next 2 have a better delivery.

$10.54

I have a few girl friends who we all shop together.  (Stay at home moms who have kids in school)  We look like a train going through the store. LOL!!  But it's a great time together to share coupons and catch deals that some of us don't see. I now your thinking we should all go to the spa for girl friend bonding.  We have GIRLS NIGHT OUT once a month.  This has been fun and a great time for me to met new friends.

$25 gift card

My sister in law needed a plumber and I recommend one to her. (Titanium Plumbing 888-848-2657) They are friends of ours.  Because she used them they sent me $25 gift card!!   So I'm sure by now you know where I spent the money...

As I was checking out I told the young cashier that I could only spend $25. That's all I have on this gift card. He looked at me doubtingly and said he didn't think I'd make it.  When the grand total came it was $114, I knew it would be close.  I saved 77% of my bill totaling....$24.65!!  sigh... that was a close one!

I had no money to spend this week on groceries the budget is tight.  It kills me not to be able to go and get those deals.  Not that we don't have food.  I've got a pretty good stock pile.  Plus in the summer we purchased a 1/2 cow and a 1/2 pig for the freezer so I never buy meat except for chicken.

I just can't help it.  I just had to buy the Pillsbury pizza crust for .54, cake mixes for .30, frosting for .69...  this list goes on.

Thank you Titanium Plumbing for the $25 gift card!!  You've made a happy wife today and you didn't even fix my sink.

Chairs anyone?

I have to say that God is at work.  A Church in Farmington Hill gave our church plant 60 of there extra chairs.  They don't have room to store them.   They wanted to sow seed into Faith Family.  So they knew that we will not be able to use only 60 of them, plus we will be a mobil church so we will be setting up and tearing down every Sunday.  So, they told us to sell them and take the money we make and get what we need!

Do you know what is even more amazing...  They went though all of their chairs and gave us the best of the best!  What!!  Normally a church would say, "we've bought some new chairs,  you can have the old ones."  Not here!

We are so excited.  They are also are talking an offering on Sunday for "Faith Family" and will be mailing it to us!  It blesses me to see that people feel they are sowing into good soil.

The time has come to get busy and God is going to provide all that we need.  We are placing these chairs on Craigslist this weekend.  If you know any one who could use 60 chairs please contact me.  They are from the company called Church Chair and are normally priced at almost $40 we are asking $20 each.  The company still has the fabric so more chair could be ordered.

Now for something really important!!
MILK FOR FREE at Kroger!  You have to buy 4 Quaker products and you get 3 gallons of milk. If you have coupons for Quaker products then you get a steal of a deal!!  I only paid $3.00 for all of this!

Now for something more exciting
I've been totally blessed!  I've been allowed to go this weekend to Kalamazoo to this Photography class.  Ryan Richard Photography is amazing!!!  I'm in no way interested in wedding and senior photos.  But to better what Paul and I do and perhaps make a little extra on the way!   I'm soooo excited.  Did I tell you I was excited?  I'm leaving Paul for the weekend with the girls.  Wish him luck!

Late night shopper

I'm a late night shopper.  I enjoy going to the grocery store without kids so I have time to look and think.  This also means no waiting in a line and it allows me to watch the scanner and make sure all my coupons take.  I don't feel rushed and no one is behind me.

I just got home at 10:00 and the store was empty and I didn't have to wait to check out. Also, by going late at night, no one is around to see you take a picture of your cart. Hee Hee!

So tonight I splurged a little, meaning the Puczki's (Fat Tuesday yummy!!) and the large bottle of Nycuil (which is so needed right now, my sinus are going haywire).   I filled my cart for only $63.00.  I could of filled my cart for under $50 if i didn't need the Puczki or Nycuil.  What can I say?  I only saved 61% off my bill, I like to save 70% but I'm still happy I got items I needed.  I'd say the best deal for the night was Snuggle fabric softener.  I got it for 2.39 so I bought three:)

Remember to stock up, you don't know when those items are going to be on sale again.

Betty Crocker Warm Delights... Delightful!

I don't know if any of you have tried Betty Crockers Warm Delights but these thing are way out of my budget, over $2 for a single serving!!!  I got these for .25 at Meijer the other day.  They are wonderful especially when they only cost a quarter, there even better when you put a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.

I am a sucker for a hot fudge brownie.  When Paul and I were first dating we would go to Bill Knapps (when they were still around) for one.  My all time favorite is the Carmel blond brownie at Applebees's.  Yum, my taste buds are watering just thinking of it.

For all you who are new to couponing and need a little help there are some items you can pick up at Meijer.  Sorry last week was the Warm Delights for a quarter:(.

Aunt Millies bread only .25
Aunt Millies English muffins only .30
Crunch and Munch only .40
Soft Soap only .30
Pizza Rolls only .30

There's plenty of deals you just got to look. Remember Meijers takes two of the same coupon and they double up to .50, that makes it $1.00 off.

You need to be cutting coupons, every week!  Get busy!

This morning I went over to Charlotte to met a lady (Carol who is a Nurse) from my moms church.  I helped her set up a blog.  She went with my mom on her trip to give Christmas to the children in Cambodia.  Now she's going back for 3 months to help start a medical clinic all by herself.  The blog is going to help keep her friends and family up to date.

Here is my moms trip in case you haven't seen it.  livingwordcambodia.blogspot.com
