Enoch We Love You

Over the last several weeks we've had Enoch at the Vet.  He's been unable to run, and he would just fall occasionally when he walked.   The x-ray shows that he has hip dysplasia and one of his tendons are not holding his knee in place.  It's so sad that he is only 14 months old and has so much more love to give.  I took this photo when we made the decision last week to put him down.

We were on a family walk one evening and we notice all of the sudden Enoch could not walk straight.  Over the past several weeks it has got so bad that he is losing weight and muscle mass.  If you compare the two photos you can see his chest is smaller and he is much weaker.

So this evening was his time to go...  Autumn did not handle it so well.  Being that this was Paul and Autumns dream dog and they had looked forward to him for two years.

Autumn told me she didn't want to pet him and say goodbye because she didn't want to cry.  I coaxed her into it and she said her goodbyes.  Lillie of course has no idea what is taking place.

Lillie was saying her prayers tonight, and this is what she said.  (so sweet)

"Thank you Jesus for this day."
Then she opened her eyes and asked me... "Mom where is Enoch??"

I told her he was with Jesus.
Then she continued her prayer.

Thank you that enoch with Jesus.
Thank you Toaster here.
Thank you...

Enoch you will be missed.  You were a good dog.

Worse than a kid!

Anyone know how to teach a dog to clean up after himself?

He's worse than the girls.  It's like I have 3 children.

He's just a big 115 pound baby.

I was just practicing with my camera settings.

And a little quick editing...  loving this photography stuff.

Pass or Fail?

This was not a pass or fail class.  This was a class to show what your dog needs to learn in order to pass a test to be a therapy dog.  Enoch did well on leaving the treats alone, walking by other dogs and not being distracted, staying in a room with a stranger... the list goes on.

However, he does not climb stairs.  Try carring a 115 pound dog up a flight of stairs!!  Yikes!  He also sits and stays very well (at home) not in his class.  Go figure.  Don't grab at his paws, he doesn't like that.  Needless to say we know now what we need to work on.

Everyone loved him, who wouldn't?  He's still a puppy so he needs some work.

The PBJ Thief

Yup  your looking at em'...

I was in the kitchen making Lou a PBJ and I turned around and the sandwich was gone.  Enoch was walking away and I chased him and  I grabbed him around the neck and took him down to the ground!!  Needless to say he know who the boss is and he sat that the door of the kitchen and wouldn't come back in.

This was the first time he's ever done that, he always comes in the kitchen  and sits by my feet. He's at the counter level where all he has to do is tip his head and it belongs to him.  I can't believe he has another 40 pounds to go.  When he's done growing he'll weigh more than me and you better believe I'll still take him to the ground even when he's bigger than me!  I think the new rule is when I'm cooking in the kitchen he can't come in.  Same goes for Paul too!!!

Enoch, Autumn & Lillie

Encoh...  Getting to be a big boy.  Weighting in at about 105 pounds and is 11 months old.  He's doing great and he listens very well.  A habit he's picked up is drinking out of the tub faucet. He seems to like the drip.  He sleeps all day and wants to play at night.  We found out today that he is going to be a great protector.

Lillie Lou... she's liking her sister's Nintendo DS.  She has been cracking us up lately, she is so funny.   She's into her dress up and princess stuff.  She likes Angelina Ballerina, Backyardagains, Max & Ruby and Wonder Pets.  She likes to talk on the phone to Grandma even though most times you have no idea what she is talking about.  Everything Autumn does she has to do.  She still has that silly passy. That's because mom doesn't want to give it up yet :)  Don't worry she only has it when she sleeps and when she rides in the car.  Today we cleaned out her clothes for summer. She can still where some of them.  She a tiny little thing.  She loves her black dress shoes and would wear them with everything if I let her.

Autumn...  Always has and always will bloom with personality!!  Loves the internet.  She has her own email and enjoys looking at videos on youtube.  She is growing up so fast. Her favorite store is Limited Too.   She love's to dress up,  but also loves to play with boys.  She's into her Jazz class right now.  Yes, she does have rhythm.  She loves animals and can't wait to go on a date with her dad.  This Monday after jazz they are going to Applebee's.  She's is so excited.

As for Paul and I (sorry not photo, there's never any of the parents any more) We're doing great. I enjoy spending my days with him.  I think we're kind of spoiled when it comes to being self-employed and doing what we want.  Some have been asking about the fast and if we've made any decisions yet.  Not yet, but lots is happening and we will know the Lords will before to long.   I'll fill you in soon as to what is happening with the Dietzels?

The first snow day!

Autumn was so excited!  Lillie has never played in the snow.  Last year I put snow in a bucket and brought it into the house for her to play with.  The girls played outside for an hour today. This was also Enoch's first snow!  He wasn't sure at first, but he loved it.

Shhhh... He's sleeping

Paul's baby is growing about 1/2 pound a day on average.  He's almost half grown.  Weighing in at 90 pounds.  He is crazy.. the dog.  Oh,  you thought I was talking about Pastor Paul!  LOL! Him too!  They are two peas in a pod and happy.  He doesn't chew on anything that he's not supose to.  He's very bright. He does love old shoes though and milk cartons. They keep him busy for at least 30 min.
His guy loves to sleep on his back.  He snores like a human!  Good thing he's sweet.

The smell of Dog!! UGG!

I can smell anything...  I have a noes that knows!

One reason I did not want a big dog, we'll two.
1.  Smell
2.  Hair

I told Paul the other day.  Our house smell like DOG.  My brother-in-law Tim (Hey Tim I know you read my blog a few times a week) let us use this air purifier.  I must admit, I'm a skeptic.  Do they really work?  Oh my Lord! Yes they Do!  I'm forever saved!  My house does not have a smell at all.  Thanks Tim.  I owe you big time.  Your my favorite brother-in-law, don't tell Dave.

You know Tim you can leave a comment here on my blog.  (For all of you who do not know how to comment.  It's easy)  At the end of each post there is a comment button.  You click on that and choose an option.  If you do not have a blog than you choose anonymous.  Leave me a comment (Tim) and anyone else, make sure you leave your name so I know who you are.  That's it.  Try it Tim  LOL!   LOL means Laught Out Loud, Tim.

Oh ya, Enoch is about 65 pounds.  He hasn't went potty in the house in 2 weeks.  Tomorrow I'm hopefully getting my carpet cleaned.  I don't think i need to worry about him anymore.  When I work on the computer he sits under me and sleep (snores), I put my feet on him to keep my toes warm.  At least he's good for something.

Enoch

Pastor Paul and I think that Enoch is going to be Lillie's dog.  She loves him and is always, kissing, hugging, pulling, petting...

He is now 60 Pounds.  Over the last week he has gained a pound a day!
He is doing great on his pottying out side, with only a few accidents inside.

He listens very well.  We are so impressed with is behavior.  We've taken him to the last two kids crusade with us.  He does great with kids.  He follows Paul around and just sit by him when she stops. You can tell he watches the girls to.

Thursday is his big day. If you know what I mean.

Took Autumn to gymnastic tonight.  She's taking class' though the Corunna Community School programs.  Her instructor prayed with the girls before they get started!  Wow, I was surprised and greatful!  I shared with her after the class how much I appreciate that.

Worked super hard today.  We cleaned out our storage shed.  We have so much ministry equipment from the last several years.  Along with lots of other stuff that that we've collected.  I feel 100 pounds lighter and I have'nt even had my gragae sale yet!

Signing out to go to bed early tonight.

The best surprise ever!

While we were in Marion, Illinois  we picked up a surprise for the girls.  I kept telling Autumn that it would be the best surprise ever.  Lacey kept the girls for the weekend.  She met us in Lansing for our evening program.  We told the girls to close their eyes and hold out their hands.
We snuck out from behind the trailer and tip toed over.

Paul dropped the leash into Autumns hands.
If  you look closely you can see the look on Autumns face.  She has no idea what the leash is for. That is until she looked down.

She was so excited.  A hug for mom!
A bigger hug for Dad!
This is Enoch our new family pet.  He is only 6 months old and weights already 52 pounds.  He expected to reach 125-130 pounds.  I wonder if you can get coupons for dog food?
Many more stories to come about Enoch.  His name is found in the Bible.  Hebrews 11:5
